“Kobe” Portland Comedy Film Festival 2016

From the mind of Writer, Actor and Director Stanley Sievers, “Kobe” was a hit with the PCFF judges and will screen on October 14, 2016 in Portland, Oregon. Excellent cinematography by  Taylor Frontier and acting performance by William Woods.

“Flight Fright” will screen at the Portland Comedy Film Festival on October 14, 2016. A lot of people say they have a fear of flying-but this guy has a GREAT reason! A spoof on the Twilight Zone episode “Nightmare at 20,000 feet,” This one will keep you on the edge of your chair…and wanting a hamburger? An airline passenger with a fear of
flying starts to see strange things after taking his nerve medicine.

Nominations for Best Screenplay: Portland Comedy Film Festival 2016

The following are the nominations for the Portland Comedy Film Festival 2016. 12 Judge read every page of every submission and determined that these three were the best comedy short screenplays. The winner will be announced on October 14, 2016 after the films have screened at the PCFF. Good luck screenwriters, we hope to see these films on the big screen one day.

“1-800-WITCHES
Gotta Burn”
by Tim Carpenter and Matt White

Summary: After
his pregnant wife is kidnapped by a coven of witches, Irvin Ajax
starts a witch hunting business to track down his wife and
exterminate those responsible.

Writer Biography: Tim Carpenter and Matt White have been writing and making comedy skits, short films and music videos since sophomore year in high school. They are shamelessly still doing the exact same thing in their 30’s just with a hell of a lot more experience and skill.

“Becoming Bigfoot” by Sean Whitley (Allen, Texas)

Summary: Jeff
Stevens no longer identifies as a man, but as a Sasquatch, and with
the aid of a plastic surgeon, his journey to Squatchhood is portrayed
on the reality series “Becoming Bigfoot.”

Writer Biography: Sean
Whitley is a producer and scriptwriter who’s worked in such diverse
media genres as documentary, reality TV, animation, travel, and
cooking series. Some of the networks for which he’s written and
produced include Spike TV, SPEED Channel, The Cartoon Network, MTV,
Turner Classic Movies, TLC, HGTV, GAC, REELZ, Chiller, and The
Cooking Channel. He’s
also written hundreds of English-language adaptations of such anime
series as “One Piece,” “Darker Than Black,”
“Ghost In The Shell: Arise” and “Trinity Blood,”
to name just a few. Sean
also wrote and directed “Southern Fried Bigfoot” – no not a
recipe – but a documentary about the Bigfoot legends of the American
South. It’s currently in broadcast rotation on Destination America.

“Pen and Pixel” by Devone Jones (San Diego, California)

Summary: On
the day of a pop quiz, Pen and Pencil meet each other on a classroom
desk. Meanwhile Samantha has been juggling between work and school,
she misplaces the cap to her favorite pen.

“I Do Yoga” Portland Comedy Film Festival 2016

The Portland Comedy Film Festival 2016
is proud to screen a very funny music video directed by Natasha Pearl
Hansen and Nardeep Khurmi. Jari Aanestad and Radhika Vekaria have a
natural talent for capturing some of the ridiculous character types
that do Yoga and creating a fun video that will entertain those that
know of someone that takes their Yoga way too seriously. Funny
performances with Natasha Pearl Hansen, Courtney Arnett, Briana
Hansen, Dana MoonKey, and Jaclyn Marfuggi will get plenty of laughs
at the first PCFF on October 14, 2016.
